Imphal, Feb 27: National integration Tour to Delhi, Dehradun and Mussoorie was conducted by 43 Assam Rifles Bn of the Red Shield Division from 13 Feb 2012 to 25 Feb 2012. The participants included seventeen boys and six girl students from various schools of Senapati District. Four teachers also accompanied the students during the tour. The tour was earlier flagged off from Jwalamukhi by Brigade Commander on 13 Feb 2012.
On the return on 27 Feb 2012, the NIT team were accorded a warm welcome at the Red Shield Division. Wherein the children interacted with Maj Gen Binoy Poonnen, VSM, GOC, Red Shield Division and shared their experiences with him. The GOC appreciated them for coming forward and participating in the event. The GOC mentioned that, apart from prospective of visiting places of tourist and historical interest, the tour was also aimed at giving the children an insight into various professional fields. The GOC reiterated that the future of Manipur lies in the hands of the student and exhorted them to work hard and excel in whatever field they choose for the development of Manipur and our great Country. The children were also given a souvenir by the GOC to cherish their visit.
A National Integration tour was organized by 12 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) for school children from
Kamjong Sub Division of Ukhrul District of Manipur. The tour which was flagged off from Kamjong Sub Division by Commander 10 Sector AR on 26 Feb 2011. A total of 24 boys and girls from diverse backgrounds alongwith four teachers will visited the Chennai and Kanyakumari.
In another occasion,9 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) organized a National Integration Tour from Moreh to Delhi, Agra and Amritsar under ‘ASSAM RIFLES CIVIC ACTION PROGRAMME’ for community leaders of Moreh, Chandel District (Manipur). A total of 26 community leaders which includes 15 males and 11 females representing the various communities of Moreh. The National Integration Tour was flagged off by the Commandant 9 Assam Rifles in presence of prominent members of Moreh Town at 9 Assam Rifles (Moreh) on 26 Feb 2012 . During The National Integration is scheduled to visit various historical heritage sits and places of importance.
