IMPHAL, May 14: A decomposed body of a man was found found floating in Imphal River near Loukon Thingkhanphai village under Sugnu police station at around 8.30 am. The dead body has been deposited at the morgue of the Jawaharlal Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) for verification.
The body was discovered by the locals of the area who informed the police.
According to the police, the unidentified bearded male who seems to be about 50 yrs was wearing black pants and a checked T-shirt. His height would be about 5 ft 5 inch tall and on his right wrist a nylon tread was found tied.
