NEW DELHI, November 11: Manipur Students’ Association of Delhi (MSAD) strongly condemned the killing of Muhammad Hasmad Ali alias Babu of Keirao Makting  Awang Leikai, said a press release.

It said, such culture of killing based on false allegation persists in Manipur because of State government’s lack of concern and inability to bring justice to the victim on time.

MSAD has also condemned the lathi charge by police and atrocities against the people who were demanding justice for Md Hasmad Ali, and moreover MSAD has strongly condemned the media groups such as Hundustan Times and New York Times for their alleged linking with the unfortunate incident with Dadri lynching and incident of killing due to beef eating in Manipur. Media should not try to politicize the incident with beef politics, said MSAD in the press release.

It said, MSAD condoled the death of Muhammad Hasmad Ali, and demanded the government to take immediate action against the culprits and bring justice to Muhammad Hasmad Ali.

Meanwhile, Delhi Association of Manipur Muslim Students (DAMMS) has also appealed the state government to bring out solutions regarding the incident as soon as possible, said the press release.

It said, state government is still silent even after New York Times had published a news regarding the recent killing of Headmaster Hasmad Ali.

State government is also following the so called ‘Uniform Civil Code’ with the rise in communalism and killing of people for consuming beef in India, stated DAMMS in the press release.
