Right to benefit from social welfare schemes is for all: Nemcha

IMPHAL | Nov 27

Social welfare and cooperation minister, Nemcha Kipgen wants the people residing in different corners of the state, even the remotest part will not be denied of their rights when it comes to any schemes and benefits that they deserve to get.

For this, they should get in touch with the concerned District Social Welfare Officers (DSWO) and District Cooperation Officers (DCO) to get timely updates about all the various schemes and benefits so that their rights are not curtailed by any anyone or any force.

Addressing the gatherings as a chief guest at the golden jubilee (50th Years) Celebration of the Molhoi Baptist Church (TBA-I) Women and Youth Fellowship, Nemcha informed the gathering about the various state and centrally sponsored schemes offered under the Social Welfare and Cooperation departments.

She felt the need for developmental change in Manipur by reviving cooperative movement which is also the vision of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

Nemcha, stressing on the importance of the skill development, claimed that government job are not the only option for our well-to-do lifestyle but would encourage considering skill development to be of utmost importance.

There are various options where one can enhance one’s lifestyle and also contribute towards the growth of the society through proper utilisation of skill development, she added.
