Dead body found

THOUBAL | Nov 8

A dead body suspected to have died of over drug dose was found today around 4.30 pm near M.I Road at Iroipat Loukol that lies between Thoubal Sabaltongba and Moijing under Thoubal police station.

Sources said the dead body is believed to be of one Sanasam Ngongo, (23) son of Birgopal from Thoubal Sabaltongba Awang Leikai.  Police have collected the body for the procedure of post mortem.

Biswajit urges TG students to lead the way in making a better Manipur

IMPHAL | Nov 8

The students hold the key to a better future said Works Minister Th.Biswajit while speaking as the chief guest at the annual fresher’s meet cum literary and cultural meet held today at Tamphasana Girls Higher Secondary School.

The present is most important in fashioning a better tomorrow. We have to create our future today the Works Minister said. We need to be hard working and have patience in order to achieve our goal he said.

The minister further advised the students to have aims and aspirations, and learn how to achieve them. The youth play the most important role to bring development in our society he added.

He further mentioned that no one will stand for us so we have to be hard working to achieve our goal. Of all the resources, human resource is the most important he said.

Minister Biswajit explained the importance of education and sustainable development. Development is possible only when we eradicate illiteracy he added.

He further assured to find a way to bring drinking water facilities in the school campus. The minister wished the students a grand success in all their future endeavours.

 Education Minister Th. Radheshyam attended the function as the president. He said that the students are the future of the people and they have to give the people a bright. He said that the youths today are full of ideas and talents and the people have confidence in them to bring a better future to the state.

He assured to make TG Higher Secondary School one of the best schools in the country.  The students today have far more ideas talents and have the potentials to bring changes in the society he said.

He further assured to look into the necessities of the school, and the hostel building will be finished at the earliest. He said that construction of smart classroom or auditorium in the school campus are in the pipeline.

He said that teachers are the guides of the students. He further appealed the students to respect their teachers as they are the backbone to pave a way for the brighter future of the student.

The function was also attended by the director of education Th. Kirankumar Principal TG Higher Secondary School, L. Biren Singh.

Songs and other cultural dance items were the highlights of the programme. Prizes were distributed to toppers of the school.
