Thoubal: Children’s Creative Contemplative Educational Institution (C3EI), Thoubal conducted an award ceremony for the winners of its 6th Talent Hunt Examination 2017 , held on October 19 and 20 last year.
The examination was conducted for two subjects- Science and Mathematics. A total of 1150 students competed in the examination held at two centres- Manipur College, Singjamei and Vision Creative School of Science, Thoubal.
450 students (class IV to X) competed in the science subject while 700 students (class I to X) competed in Mathematics.
KM Blooming Higher Secondary School, Khangabok was adjusted the best school.
Former Vice President of the BJP Manipur Pradesh, Thokchom Jadumani, controller of the Talent Hunt Examination 2017, Dr Akoijam Priyokumar Singh and social worker Leitanthem Basanta attended the award ceremony as dignitaries.

UKHRUL, Jan 8 (DIPR) : Forest and Environment Minister Thounaojam Shyamkumar inspected the trees planted under the Catchment Area Treatment (CAT) plan in Phadang, Ukhrul district yesterday. The tree plantation and nurturing was carried out by Forest officials of Kasom Khullen Range, Eastern Forest Division, Ukhrul. The trees were planted at an area of 130 hectares of land under the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) Scheme 2016-2017.
Minister Th Shyamkumar lauded the forest officials for nurturing the trees carefully.
He said that sincere and collective efforts of the department and the locals are required to take up any developmental work in the State and further added that more development works will be taken up in the near future.
He urged the Forest officials to be vigilant so that the plantation is not destroyed by fire, grazing of animals or storm etc.
