IMPHAL, Jan 19: A Division Bench of the High Court of Manipur comprising of acting Chief Justice N Kotiswar and Justice Kh Nobin has directed the authorities concerned including PWD and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to take up all necessary steps and actions for executing the work of repairing and maintaining Tendongyang to Koubru Leikha section of NH 2 on priority basis by invoking the emergency clause as provided under Section 2.2 (xviii) under Chapter 1 of the CPWD Manual.

IMPHAL, Dec 2: A Division Bench of Manipur High Court has directed the Transport Department to submit a report regarding the license for weight allowed (in tons) to be carried over the bridges present along the National Highways of the State.
On the other hand, the Division Bench has also asked Transporters and Drivers Council and directed it to inspect the condition along the National Highways and to submit the report before the Court on December 18.
The Court also directed it to submit a report on the weight license issued by the Transport Department on December 18 as well.

IMPHAL, Feb 16: As directed in the earlier sitting, IOC’s Imphal Divisional Manager, CRPF DIG and IG AR (S) appeared before a full bench of the High Court of Manipur comprising of Chief Justice Rakesh Ranjan Prasad, Justice N Kotiswar and Justice Kh Nobin. Advocate General Th Ibohal submitted that loaded oil tankers were escorted up to Imphal along with other goods carriers in greater quantity than the quantity prescribed by the High Court in a week. Loaded oil tankers were escorted up to Imphal on February 10, 11, 14 and 15 this week.
