“No place for democratic movement”

IMPHAL, Mar 3: Saying that democratic movement in the State seems to have got no place as many democratic protests including the historic 16 years long fast staged by Irom Sharmila went unheard, several frontal organisations including IPSA, Kanglamei, CLK, KIL and KSA asserted that there is no point in casting vote by electorates in elections if such protests were not paid heed in the democratic country.

KSA urges

IMPHAL , Sep 1 : Kangleipak Students’ Association in a statement has reiterated that the reservation policy to be implemented at Manipur University must be in accordance with the norms of the University Grant Commission and the resolution of Academic Council taken in the meeting of May 30 meeting should remain the same in the Council meeting to be held on August 31and the academic session 2016-2017 should start as early as possible. Any deviation from the early resolution will not be taken lightly and the Academic Council members and MU authority should take full responsibility, the statement added.

IMPHAL, Jun 23 : Kangleipak Students’ Association (KSA) has said that there are some people who collect huge sum of money from different individuals with the promise to provide jobs at Loktak Downstream Hydro-electric Corporation Ltd (LDHC). In a statement, the students’ body said that these people even hand over fake appointment letters issued by the Chief Engineer (Power) to their victims in their bid to dupe them.
