Chair at a furniture shop
\nmakes me imagine what if
\nI have one of my own.
\nEasy chairs, would you allow
\nme to be comfortably seated;
\na nervous start begins your
\nrocking movement, every time
\nsomeone sits on you.
\nWhy aren`t you accommodating
\nlike other seats which don`t
\nmove unnecessarily.
\nI do not know your mind;
\nI feel you are benevolent,
\nsomehow making me sure
\nyou can keep me seeking
\nthe slow pace of mind I desire.
\nDo you recognize that
\nI will grow older and
\nmy breath mild and
\nsitting on you would be
\na risk to take.
\nSoon as I near you these
\nconsiderations call for caution.
\nThe insecurity gives me
\nreason to keep moving
\nelsewhere in my house
\nwithout any anxiety.
\nLively alternatives in
\notherwise drab households.
\nLike an artist at rest
\nwith the world moving around;
\nsymbolized by new thoughts,
\na current, living realities;
\nigniting a deliberation.
\nYou wait patiently for
\nsomeone to sit on you
\nto enjoy the presence
\nof thinking minds.
\nI too would like the
\ncompany you get
\nin this way – warm intellect.
\nCreativity thrives in
\nyour repose.
\nThere`s some magic in you
\nwhich makes me
\nfeel comfortable even
\nin discomfort.
\nWhile on you I
\ncan`t listen to music
\nand tap my feet in rhythm;
\nwhich is unlike other chairs.
\nIn this way you dissuade
\nme from worldly entertainment.
\nTransport me in your motion.
\nIn your rocking
\nyou never move any
\ndistance yourself, but
\npersuade me to discover
\nand experience the
\nlimits of eclectic composition
\nand poise.
\nI do need a well wisher like you;
\nmy friend in life.<\/p>\n\n
