Imphal, May 24: Hockey Manipur is the sole and genuine association in the State for the welfare of the game of hockey, a Government order issued by Principal Secretary (Cooperation) P Vaiphei said, adding the registration of Manipur Hockey is cancelled with immediate effect. In an official order , P Vaiphei notified that the Government of Manipur had summoned Hockey Manipur and Manipur Hockey along with their counsels in July 2016. It added that his predecessor had conducted a thorough examination of the detailed submissions of both the parties, and subsequently they had received a written direction for them to consolidate under a common banner in the best interest of the stakeholders within a stipulated time of six months. <\/p>\n
