IMPHAL, Feb 21: The secretary of union ministry of human resource, AK. Tiwari has intimated the Government of Manipur of measures initiated in connection with the demands of the striking teachers under the spearhead of Council of Teachers`\u2122 Association, (COTA), said a release of the COTA.
\nIt said that a written statement of the Human Resource secretary informing the development has been sent to the COTA office today adding it lauded the ministry for showing their concerned for the grievances of the teachers.
\nIn the meantime, the number of teachers sent to jail has increased to 195 with the arrest 18 more fasting teachers today.
\nIt further informed that the entire teacher of the zone-II Imphal East district will begin the next round of fast from tomorrow.<\/p>\n
