\nImphal, Jan 14: The Field Exhibition office, Directorate of advertising & Visual Publicity (DAVP), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Imphal is organizing five-day Photo Exhibition on the theme \u2018Development Initiatives in North East\u2019 at Lilong Hr Sec Madrassa, Thoubal District from September 18 – 22, 2012. The inaugural programme to be held on 18th September at 2pm is to be graced by Md Shah Alam, Chairperson, Lilong Thoubal Nagar Panchayat as Chief Guest, Md Islauddin Shah, Principal, Lilong Hr Sec Madrassa as Functional President & Smt Tharo Begum, Councillor, Lilong Thoubal Nagar panchayat ward No 1 as Guest of Honour .
\nThe aim of the Exhibition is to disseminate information about the pace of various developmental projects undertaken by the Govt. of India in the North East, including Sikkim.
\nIn the exhibition, about 150 photographs depicting the life, culture and development projects of the North East will be displayed prominently. The exhibition will be useful for students, educationists\u2019 public leaders, women etc to learn many valuable things about the North Eastern region of India.
\nCarrying the theme of development further to the general public, the Field Exhibition Office, DAVP, Imphal will hold similar Photo Exhibition at Lamsang Community Hall, Imphal west from September 25-29, 2012.
\nThe Field Exhibition Officer, DAVP, Imphal invites one and all from all walks of life to witness the Photo Exhibition in order to have better understanding of various developmental scheme taken up by the Government of India.<\/p>\n\n
