MNS:- Over 80 Indian Exhibitors, Senior Government & Business Delegation Apart From Cultural Performance & Food Festival in an Effort to Build \u201cBrand India\u201d in China
\nMinistry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Embassy of India, Beijing is organizing the \u201cIndia Show\u201d concurrently with 6th China International Auto parts Expo from 26-28 October, 2012 in Beijing.
\nThe event is supported by the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), Auto Component Manufacturers\u2019 Association (ACMA) of India, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export for Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), Trade Development Bureau of Ministry of Commerce of the People`s Republic of China and Genertec.
\n\u201cIndia Show\u201d in Beijing assumes greater significance in the context of enhanced economic and strategic cooperation between the two nations. The Show would set the tone for strengthening the bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. The event is organized during this year which has been announced as the “Year of India-China Friendship and Cooperation”, pledging to push the Sino-Indian strategic cooperative partnership to a new level.
\nAs part of India Show, CII will be leading a high-powered 19 member CEOs\/ Business delegation led by Mr S Gopalakrishnan, President Designate CII & Executive Co-Chairman Infosys Technologies Ltd from 25-26 October 2012. During their visit, the delegation will call on senior Chinese Government leaders and discuss on new areas for collaboration for enhancing trade and investment between the two countries. In 2011, bilateral trade stood at around $74 billion and the leaders from both the countries have set a trade target of $100 billion by 2015.
\nMore than 80 companies are participating in the three day exhibition. The India Pavilion will showcase the wide variety of top class Indian auto parts relating to engine, body and chassis systems, high technology equipment and parts, innovative hybrid energy parts etc along with maintenance and tuning equipment and general components. The Expo will be a platform to explore multiple collaboration opportunities and share the progressive and future-ready component industry of India.
\nIndia\u2019s presence in China has also increased over the years. However, for a synergistic bilateral economic engagement, there is need for Indian companies to tap the opportunities in the Chinese market more closely and to take advantage of its environment. Similarly, with Chinese automobile companies expressing keen interest in Indian market, this show will provide an opportunity for them to explore new collaboration opportunities with the leading Indian auto parts companies in the development of their supply chain.
\nCII is also organizing the India China Business Seminar on 26th October 2012 coinciding with the inauguration of India Show. Leading Indian companies like Tata, Aditya Birla, Reliance Industries, Infosys, Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro, NIIT etc will be participating and will provide a good opportunity for the local companies to interact with them and explore new areas of cooperation.
\nDuring the inaugural session, the CII \u2013 Embassy of India, Beijing book on \u201cRetracing the Path to Prosperity \u2013 Lessons from India-China Business Partnership\u201d will be released which will showcase the contributions by Indian companies invested in China. The book will also be a good reference for the potential investors to understand the strategies adopted by the successful Indian Corporates in China.
\nFurther, as part of the \u201cIndia Show\u201d an Indian wine festival is being organized by Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and an Indian Cultural and Dance Performance by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
\nThe Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and CII attaches great importance to this show in enhancing the ties between two emerging economies and also in building \u201cBrand India\u201d in China.<\/p>\n\n
