Between the twain –
\nO Tuensang,
\nIn my childhood,
\nHeard something about you.
\nO Bengala, hope you reached your home there.<\/p>\n

I beg to please,
\nA plea, O Mokokching,
\nI hope to visit you someday.<\/p>\n

Never seen, O Kohima,
\nYour war cemetery.
\nO ye valiant guards!
\nAt Imphal, you airlifted yours
\nBravest sons, your crack regiments.<\/p>\n

With tender hands, grooms,
\nLittle red rose plants, of
\nTiny red and crimson flowers,
\nAnd the brave sons, “called to duty,
\nBut never sent back home,” laments,
\nThe darlings at home.
\nO brave soldiers!
\n“Where England lies forever,”
\nIn the soil o f our motherlands,
\nManipur and Nagaland.<\/p>\n

And, O Fatherland,
\nOh Germany! Oh Germany!<\/p>\n

“Full many a gem of purest ray screne,
\nLies untapped on the deep ocean bed,
\nLike the seven little,
\nSisters, guarding the eastern front,
\nAnd the north-eastern sky.<\/p>\n

And the great Chingiz Khan,
\nO Mongal warlord, you did,
\nBut thy duty, seemed fit,
\nIn your eyes, O Lord!<\/p>\n

Where are the seven stars?
\nOn the beautiful tri-colour,
\nFluttering proudly on the –
\nRampart, of the Fort, the Red.
\nAn appeal, O Lord.
\nForsake us not,
\nWe too challenged thy forces,
\nReady to protect, unto death,
\nOur motherland, your gentle souls.<\/p>\n

I wish no evil,
\nBut seek the truth, and the right,
\nFor a brighter and happier tomorrow.<\/p>\n

And,
\nTaking up arms,
\nIn the dark hours of the night,
\nTorches,
\nFor an endless vigil,
\nAnd kind candles, in their whites, on,
\nOn the black canvass,
\nTo save all, all their braves.
\nO brave mothers!
\nI bow and salute , all thee gentle warriors.<\/p>\n

And, O Kohima !
\nLet us shake hands, a round.
\nAmen, Lord Amen.<\/p>\n
