Rajan, then Telephone Mechanic, Pipla Telephone Exchange, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), Distt. Nagpur (Maharashtra) and sentenced him to undergo two years Rigorous Imprisonment with total fine of Rs.10,000\/- in a bribery case.<br \/>\nCBI had registered a case against Shri T.S. Rajan, Telephone Mechanic, Pipla Telephone Exchange, BSNL, Distt. Nagpur on the basis of a complaint alleging that the accused had demanded a bribe of Rs.1,000\/- from the complainant on 04.04.2002 for early installation of his telephone connection.<br \/>\nAfter registration of the case, CBI laid a trap and Shri T.S. Rajan, Telephone Mechanic was caught red handed while demanding and accepting the bribe from the complainant.
