IMPHAL, June 18 NNN: United Naga Council (UNC) has vowed to intensify it stir with a series of agitations soon against Manipur Government . However, the UNC did not spell out the nature of its agitation nor the time to resume.
\nThe UNC sponsored 48-hour bandh in \u2018Naga areas\u2019 of Manipur will end tonight (June 18 midnight).
\nUNC vice president TS Warngam informed NNN that many more protests will follow soon after the ongoing 48-hour bandh that ends Tuesday midnight.
\nHe said that the UNC feels \u2018very sad\u2019 to learn that the Manipur Government has \u2018always snubbed\u2019 its demand that it has not discussed it even for a single minute in the current monsoon session of the state assembly.
\nExcept for Imphal-Churachandpur inter district route, all the vehicular movements plying between the state capital Imphal and the district headquarters have been halting since Monday.
\nEducational institutions, shops and other business related activities halted today in the district headquarters of Ukhrul, Chandel, Tamenglong and Senapati. Inter-state public transports too did not operate following the UNC bandh.
\nHowever, there was no untoward incident reported anywhere due to the bandh.<\/p>\n\n
