IMPHAL, October 31: Manipur Governor Dr Ashwani Kumar has greeted the people of the state especially those from the Kuki-Mizo-Chin community on the happy and joyous occasion of Kut 2013.<\/p>\n
In his message, the Governor said Kut, a post harvest festival of the people is a thanks giving to the Almighty for a generous harvest and the celebrations have now transcended the community to all the people of North East India.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh also conveyed his heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur particularly the Kuki-Mizo-Chin brethren on the joyous occasion of Kut festival.<\/p>\n
In a statement, the CM said the spirit of Kut festival is all about sharing, understanding, harmonious co-existence, co-operation and merriment and expressed hope that the festival will spread the message of love, peace and brotherhood amongst all communities living in Manipur.<\/p>\n
‘’On this auspicious occasion, let us join our hands together and work united to bring everlasting peace and prosperity in Manipur by resolving our differences and taking the path of non-violence,’’ the CM wished in his message. <\/p>\n\n
