CHANDEL, November 23: ‘Paint For Peace’, a district-level painting competition for school-going children was held on November 23 at Lifeway Christian Academy Chandel.<\/p>\n
The competition which was jointly organized by Peace Core Team Manipur and People’s Dialogue Initiative with a sponsor from Hyderabad based interface study centre called Henry Martin Institute will select three outstanding students at the district level and sent up to the state level competition.<\/p>\n
Member of the Peace Core Team Manipur Ts Ngamwar Anal and Principal Lifeway Christian Academy while speaking on the occasion stated that the competition held on November 23 was conducted with a purpose to help students and society understand the importance of peace in the conflict-filled environment and appreciated that Peace develops from young people. <\/p>\n
Talking of the future plan, Ts Ngamwar said that the present guidelines allowing only three schools in the competition will be modify so that more school- going children from more numbers of schools will be able to take part in the competition.<\/p>\n
School-going children from Kononia Training School, Oriental Academy Rieverlane and Lieway Christian Academy Panchai took part in the painting competition.<\/p>\n\n
