IMPHAL January 23: A 17 year old was crushed to death by the excavating arm of a JCB excavator this morning around 8 am at Langol Tarung village under Lamphel police. <\/p>\n
The boy identified as Kamlengthang alias Kokngang son of Mangin of Langol Laimanai Meetei Leikai was acting as a mohori and looking after the earth levelling work at Langol Tarung village, when the incident happened.<\/p>\n
He was crushed by the excavating arm of the JCB against another JCB excavator which was stationed nearby, said a family member at RIMS.<\/p>\n
“The arm of the JCB arm swirled and hit him against the stationary JCB”, he said.<\/p>\n
The body has been handed over to family members after post mortem was conducted at the RIMS mortuary this noon. <\/p>\n
The police have taken up a case regarding the incident. <\/p>\n\n
