IMPHAL, June 6: Unidentified persons fired twice near the residential gate of Rongmei Lu Phuam (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) president Panti Golmei this morning around 3.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the media at her Langol Tarung Grace Colony residence, Golmei said soon after the gunshots were fired, she heard the sound of a vehicle speeding away.<\/p>\n
Locals informed her that the assailants were seen coming in an Alto car and a Pulsar Bike, she said.<\/p>\n
She further condemned the attack and appealed to the authorities concerned to look into the incident.<\/p>\n
Panti Golmei further appealed to all those involved in the attack to clarify the act and not to repeat such violence in the residential areas.<\/p>\n
She further said that any misunderstanding can be settled through talks instead of violence.<\/p>\n
Such violence only creates a fear psychosis among the local populace, she added.<\/p>\n
