Imphal, Dec 26: UNLF Chairman, RK Sanayaima today said plebiscite mooted by UNLF should not be used an election issue. He was produced at Guwahati before a Special Judge NIA Designated Court. India should work to have a peaceful environment in the region he added. Time has come for the people to unit. If a new government comes to power issue of plebiscite will not be an important issue and election is just a festival. There is no base camp of UNLF in other countries but only in Manipur he added.
There is no connection with Maoists he added. Blasts , surrender, home coming are all engineered by Assam Rifles, CRPF he alleged. Such actions aim to defame those who are committed in liberation struggle .
