IMPHAL, April 30: The Special Olympics Bharat-Manipur Chapter has said in a press release that it will be organising the 3rd State Games for persons with disabilities from May 8-10 at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex covering only Bishnupur, Churachandpur and Chandel Districts.

The games will be conducted under the rules of Special Olympics Bharat, Paralympics Committee of India and All India Sports Council for the Deaf in the disciplines of Athletics, Aquatics, BOCCE, Badminton and Football (5-a side). The competition will be held for males and females of the age groups of Sub-Junior (8-10 years), Junior (12-16 years) and Senior (17 years to above), the press release stated further.

Athletes with different category of disability, coaches, care takers and parents are participating. The participants of the State Games are eligible for the National Games, 2014 to be held at Odissa, said the Sports Director.
