{"id":124794,"date":"2015-03-30T16:37:48","date_gmt":"2015-03-30T20:37:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kanglaonline.com\/?p=73697"},"modified":"2015-03-30T16:37:48","modified_gmt":"2015-03-30T20:37:48","slug":"nagaland-patton-appeals-to-ytc-leaders-to-attend-tripartite-talk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.manipur.org\/news\/2015\/03\/30\/nagaland-patton-appeals-to-ytc-leaders-to-attend-tripartite-talk\/","title":{"rendered":"Nagaland : Patton appeals to YTC leaders to attend \u201cTripartite Talk\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SHAMATOR, Mar 30 (NEPS): Nagaland Home Minister Y Patton said the upcoming \u201cTripartite Talk\u201d to be held on April 7 at Kohima would be crucial as it was to find amicable and lasting solution to the \u201cChang and Yimchunger\u201d issues.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a huge crowd here at Shamator HQ, under Tuensang district Monday, the Minister appealed to the leaders of the Yimchunger Tribal Council (YTC) to attend the \u201cTripartite talk\u201d to be held on April 7 next month at state capital, Kohima.<br \/>\nReminding that the government and its machineries had been making every possible effort to see that all their Chang and Yimchunger brothers live peacefully as they had been living as one family, Patton said, \u201cI make this special request to YTC leaders that please come and attend the upcoming tripartite talk and share your problems there. After sharing with whatever you have in your mind, we will take decision as to how we will move forward for amicable and lasting solution to your problems.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It may be mentioned that YTC did not give their green signal for attending the \u201cTripartite talk\u201d but after Home Minister made a special request during the public meeting today, they had reportedly hinted their willingness to attend the talk. The \u201cTripartite talk\u201d to be held with the two tribes \u2013 The Chang and the Yimchunger \u2013 to find amicable and lasting solution to their problems has been initiated by the state government.<br \/>\nThe Minister also appreciated the various mass based civil societies including Chang Khulie Setshang (CKS) and YTC, church leaders, police, district administration and individuals for bringing normalcy in the Tuensang district.<\/p>\n<p>Patton said he was unhappy with the recent development within the NSCN (K) and further called upon all the Naga national workers for \u201creconciliation and unity\u201d among them. \u201cWithout unity, we cannot achieve a lasting and permanent peace in our land,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nMLA and Parliamentary Secretary for CAWD, Economics &amp; Statistics R.
