IMPHAL, April 3: The proscribed RPF and its armed wing PLA has in a press statement gave their revolutionary salute to its slain cadre sergeant Prem real name Okram Pari, son of (L) O Tomba and (L) O ongbi Radhe, of Sagolmang Mamang Leikai.<\/p>\n
RPF in its statement further said the sergeant Prem was part of the Tactical Command fighting team who ambushed a team of 44 AR at a place in between Kamjong and Kongkan Kul in Ukhrul District on March 31.<\/p>\n
It said four personnel of AR were killed and many others were injured in the amubush. An AK-47 rifle was also recovered from the AR in the attack.<\/p>\n
Sgt Prem fought bravely and gave up his life for `our motherland,`\u009d it said.<\/p>\n
Sgt Prem joined the party in February 20, 2007. After succeeding in his basic military training on June 5, 2007, he got his entry into the `War Office`\u2122 as Army No 2909.<\/p>\n
And after the completion of his basic military training, on March 27, 2009 he was posted at 101 Mobile Battalion (M\/Bn). In June 20, 2007 he took Medical training.<\/p>\n
He was posted at Platoon-1, Section-1 of 101 M\/Bn A-Coy on September 22, 2007; posted at 101 M\/Bn, Platoon 1, Section -2 on March 27, 2009; posted at 251 M\/Bn platoon-1, section -2 on May 28, 2009.<\/p>\n
On February 8, 2010 he was posted at 251 M\/Bn as Asst Medical Supervisor where he served his colleagues who were injured in battles.<\/p>\n
He also took part in various major operations during his time.<\/p>\n
He took part in the ambush on AR on January 2008 at Saibon in Chandel District; attack on 6th IRB on March 12, 2009 at 11 am at Oksu Misi Makhong (Lamlai Kendra) killing four IRB personnel and injuring six others and also recovered four weapons.<\/p>\n
On October 3, 2009 he was part of `operation Ta-khangsunaha`\u009d; on December 4, 2009 he was part of the attack carried against Khoiripok Army Camp and Somrei Army Camp attack.<\/p>\n
He was part of the attack on AR at Atongba Ching (Sambun Lamkhai) on March 2, 2010, at 4 am; on July 27, 2011, at around 9:15 am attack on security forces at a place in between Nampsiha and Faikot in Ukhrul District.<\/p>\n
September 26, 2011 at 12:30 pm attack on AR camp at Saibon Chadel district; July 3, 2012 at 6: 25 pm, attack on AR who were coming from Satang Khun.<\/p>\n
He was involved in the gunfight at Khoibu Centre on July 29, 2012; on September 28, 2013 at around 4:30 pm attack on AR at Kongkan AR camp in Ukhrul district;<\/p>\n
On March 11, 2014, he was part of `Operation Leopard`\u2122 where he succeeded in snatching two weapons from the enemy; on January 14, 2015, as a part of `Operation Willy Civet`\u009d attacked 20 AR and 24 AR at 10:05 am, at Machi Lamkhai.<\/p>\n
On February 6, 2015, as a part of `Operation Willy Civet`\u2122 at 4:20 pm attacked NSCN (IM) cadres coming on civil Tata and snatched them their weapons.<\/p>\n
And finally on March 31, 2015, he took part in the ambush carried out against the 44 AR at a place in between Kamjong and Kongkan Khul, where he laid down his life.<\/p>\n
Condolence meetings were held at various Units, Departments and Stations of RPF\/PLA at a mark of respect to the departed soul of sgt Prem.<\/p>\n
RPF and its armed wing PLA shares in the grief of his family, relatives, friends and other well wishers, it added.<\/p>\n\n
