IMPHAL, November 15: Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has said that the Congress party will live up to the aspiration of the people and work for the welfare of Manipur.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister was addressing a political conference held at Moral Educational Intellectual Renascent and Athletic Association (MEIRA) ground today.<\/p>\n
Okram Ibobi Singh, appealed to the people to support INC candidate in the ensuing by-election assuring that the party will make up for what have been failed to deliver by their rival candidate during their tenure in terms of development.<\/p>\n
He said that the coming bye-election is crucial and that it is obvious if Congress party failed to materialised what have been assured then they will be in difficult situation in the 2017 general election.<\/p>\n
Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, once again reacting to allegation surrounding the disqualification of former MLA of Thongju, Th Bishwajit, said that all the charges levelled against the congress are baseless.<\/p>\n
Despite various false allegations made by rival party the people still trust the congress party, he said adding that he appealed the people to support their candidate.<\/p>\n
Minister of Education and CAF & PD, Moirangthem Okendro; MLA Heingang, N Biren also attended the conference.<\/p>\n\n
