{"id":26649,"date":"2012-02-26T20:33:18","date_gmt":"2012-02-27T01:33:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/manipur-mail.com\/?p=6788"},"modified":"2012-02-26T20:33:18","modified_gmt":"2012-02-27T01:33:18","slug":"naga-problems-discussed-at-ukhrul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.manipur.org\/news\/2012\/02\/26\/naga-problems-discussed-at-ukhrul\/","title":{"rendered":"Naga problems  discussed at Ukhrul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Imphal, Feb 26 NNN :  Naga intellectuals and public leaders have carried out a brain storming sessions on a topic christened as \u201cA dialogue on the concept of shared sovereignty in Indo-Naga context\u201d on February 25 and 26 at Ukhrul district headquarters.<br \/>\nThe programme was organised by Naga Solidarity Group (NSG).<br \/>\nFew intellectuals from Nagaland also participated in the two-day event.<br \/>\nThe programme had four sessions and in all of them the term \u2018shared sovereignty\u2019 debated, dwelt at, discussed and interacted by the participants.<br \/>\nOne of the scholars from Nagaland said that the concept of shared sovereignty was first suggested to the Nagas by not other than Mahatma Gandhi. The Naga scholar quoting Mahatma Gandhi as saying,\u201dGive Nagaland to India and I will give India to Nagaland.\u201d The scholar however said that Mahatma though, did not use the term \u2018shared sovereignty\u2019 at that time.
