{"id":26681,"date":"2012-02-28T07:40:26","date_gmt":"2012-02-28T12:40:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/manipur-mail.com\/?p=6807"},"modified":"2012-02-28T07:40:26","modified_gmt":"2012-02-28T12:40:26","slug":"cbi-registers-case-against-directors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.manipur.org\/news\/2012\/02\/28\/cbi-registers-case-against-directors\/","title":{"rendered":"CBI registers  case against directors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mail News Service<br \/>\nNew Delhi, Feb 27:  The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against Directors\/Proprietor of two Sonepat based and one Daman based company on the allegations that during the year 2005 to 2009 they in pursuance of a criminal conspiracy defrauded Delhi branches of United India Insurance Co; New India Insurance Co. and Oriental Insurance Co., for lodging exorbitant claims against the insurance cover from these insurance companies regarding incidents of fire in their factory premises.<br \/>\nSuch claims worth about Rs. 15 crores were lodged on 5 occasions against which the insurance companies have already paid about Rs. 6 crores.  The claims were lodged in respect of the stocks destroyed, which purportedly had been shown in claims to have been purchased on the basis of fake\/forged bills.  Exorbitant claims were made in respect of repair of the damaged electrical installations including motors.  Sale of the finished products was also projected on the basis of fake\/forged bills and Motor Transport Receipts.<br \/>\n Searches were conducted at the premises of accused persons\/companies at Delhi, Kharkhoda (Sonepat).
