IMPHAL, March 30: A Chinese hand grenade was found planted outside the residential gate of one Maibam Tomba, 44, of Waiton under Heingang police station in Imphal east on Friday, according to a police source.
\nThe powerful grenade was found hanging over the residential gate of Tomba at around 1:30pm. Tomba is reported to be the owner of LNS brick farm at Waiton.
\nA bomb squad team of Heingang police rushed to the site and retrieved the bomb and later safely defused it at the Pangei Firing Range at about 3:30 pm, they added.<\/p>\n\n
