IMPHAL, Jul 19: The book release function of Somola Ningthoujam poetry book, The Journey, was held at Dave Literature Centre, DM College campus, today.
\nSpeaking as the chief guest at the event, retired Vice Chancellor of Manipur University, Professor H Nandakumar Sarma lauded the works of the author and expressed hope that the author will be able to carve a niche for herself in the literature society of Manipur in the future.
\nDr Kh Gokulchandra Singh (HoD, Department of Philosophy, DM College) also praised the author\u2019s thematic treatment of poetry while Naorem Birhari College Principal, Dr Ng Ekasini Devi remarked on the vivid description made by the author in the 35 poems in the book.
\nThe author, Dr Somola Ningthoujam, is an English teacher at Naorem Birhari College, Khundrakpam and is also an executive member of the Meitei Traditional Dance Teaching school and Performing Centre, Lalambung.<\/p>\n
