Churachandpur: A combined team of the Churachandpur Police and 25 Assam Rifles led by the Additional SP (LO) last night apprehended a 23 years old youth who is suspected to be involved in the killing of KNLF\/KNO chief on August 2, while conducting a raid at Kinkin village in the district.
\nAccording to SP Churachandpur, Rakesh Balwal, one 9 mm pistol along with 3 live rounds, a grenade, detonator and one motorbike was recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Ngamminlen Haokip alias Diamond Haokip of Moreh Ward No 1. He is a member of the KNLF, Boithang group. Boithang, incidentally is the main accused in the murder of Lalmoi Haokip and is still absconding, the SP said.
\nAnother man identified as Jangkhopao Haokip of D Moljang, Churachandpur has also been arrested by the Police for sheltering the arrested youth and the group\u2019s leader Boithang after they allegedly killed Lalmoi on August 2.<\/p>\n
