\nWe, the people from Manipur who are residing in and around Pune irrespective of religion, caste,
\ncolour, creed do need to form a common platform from where issues can be raised and\/or problems
\ncan be solved together as well as to strengthen the sense of bonhomie and harmony amongst the
\npeople of India in general and Manipur in particular with its rich socio-cultural heritage of all caste
\nand communities. The need of forming a common platform was felt to each of us and was a long
\npending dream. In view of the above fact, like minded persons from Manipur irrespective of religion,
\ncaste, colour, creed etc\u2026 who has attained the age of majority and self-employed, employed\/retired
\neither in the Central Government or Maharashtra Government or other reputed Institutions based in
\nand around Pune formed a non-profit, non-government community organization named \u201cAssociation
\nof Manipuri Diaspora (AMAND), Pune\u201d with the following persons as office bearer and founding
\nmembers. The association was founded on the 11th day of September 2011 and has been registered
\nunder the Societies Registration Act 1860 at Pune, Maharashtra (Regd. No.- 643\/2012\/Pune).<\/p>\n
