{"id":312026,"date":"2017-09-16T14:30:00","date_gmt":"2017-09-16T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ifp.co.in\/item\/3690-nefis-demands-cbi-enquiry"},"modified":"2017-09-16T14:30:00","modified_gmt":"2017-09-16T18:30:00","slug":"nefis-demands-cbi-enquiry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.manipur.org\/news\/2017\/09\/16\/nefis-demands-cbi-enquiry\/","title":{"rendered":"NEFIS demands CBI enquiry"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"K2FeedIntroText\">\n<p>IMPHAL | Sept 16<\/p>\n<p>The North-East Forum for International Solidarity today petitioned the Union ministry of Home Affairs seeking an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the death of state youth, Pravish Chanam, who was found secretly cremated at Noida recently.<\/p>\n<p>A release said a memorandum submitted to the ministry maintained that since the UP police\u2019s inquiry is bound to be heavily biased since its own personnel are implicated in the case, the apex agency CBI should be rope in.<\/p>\n<p>It also demanded that the inquiry should especially probe the alleged connivance of police personnel with the criminals and hospital authorities.
