{"id":323080,"date":"2017-10-29T14:30:00","date_gmt":"2017-10-29T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ifp.co.in\/item\/4675-unc-warns-naga-elected-members"},"modified":"2017-10-29T14:30:00","modified_gmt":"2017-10-29T18:30:00","slug":"unc-warns-naga-elected-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.manipur.org\/news\/2017\/10\/29\/unc-warns-naga-elected-members\/","title":{"rendered":"UNC warns Naga elected members"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"K2FeedIntroText\">\n<p>IMPHAL | Oct 29<\/p>\n<p>United Naga Council (UNC) said the elected representatives from the Naga community working \u201cat this crucial moment\u201c against \u201ccollective history\u201d of the Nagas will not be spared.<\/p>\n<p>The statement came on Sunday against the backdrop of an all political parties meet on the territorial integrity of Manipur with reference to the peace talks between the Government of India and NSCN-IM.<\/p>\n<p>UNC said elected members from Naga community indulging in activities which are detrimental to the Naga movement will invite serious consequences. The body added that it will not remain mute to \u201call those measures which are against the Naga interest\u201d taken up by different elements, including the Manipur government.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are closely observing the unfolding development in Manipur currently,\u201d UNC said. \u201cWe will respond befittingly to all those elements and factors which are hurdles to the Naga peace process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe feel our patience has been taken for our weakness,\u201d UNC added.<\/p>\n<p>The body asked Nagas not to extend cooperation or involve in any programme attached with the names of the \u201cseven new districts\u201d.
