IMPHAL, Jan 21: As part of the justice campaign being spearheaded by People Action Committee (PAC), AMSU, DESAM, KSA, MSF, SUK and Youth Forum for Protection of Human Rights in connection with the death of Pravish Chanam at Noida, a sit in protest was staged at Khagempali Huidrom Leikai Lairembi Lampak, Imphal West today.
\nThe protest was organized by Khagempali Huidrom Leikai Youth & Social Club (KHLYSC) and womenfolk of Khagempali Huidrom Leikai.
\nSpeaking to reporters, KHLYSC\u2019s president Moirangthem Ibohal decried that the UP Government and Central Government have not been making any progress in the investigation into the mysterious death of Pravish Chanam even after four months.
\nMoirangthem Ibohal went on to say that such inaction of the Uttar Pradesh Government and Central Government evoked a strong feeling of racial discrimination towards the people of North East and urged the State Government to exert pressure on the Uttar Pradesh Government and the Centre to find out the murderers of Pravish Chanam to bring justice to the State and the whole North East region.<\/p>\n
