On getting credible information regarding the movement of the militants, Jwalamukhi Battalion Assam Rifles of Red Shield Division immediately launched an operation and apprehended Lalben Guite alias Calvin, son of Seikhohao Guite, resident of Kangpokpi Ward No-1, Senapati Dist at night 1030h on 06 Jul 2012. He was in possession of one country made pistol and number of extortion notes were also recovered. The individual is the kangpokpi Town Commander and finance incharge of the KRF outfit. The apprehended was handed over to Imphal West Police Station. <\/p>\n

\n Based on specific intelligence a search operation was carried out in general area K Gamnom village near Khuga Dam under Churachandpur District. During the search operation, one UPPK cadre was apprehended by 1\/11 Gorkha Rifles under the aegis of \u201cRed Shield Division\u201d on 05 Jul 2012.
\nThe individual was later identified as Pvt Shamjai @ Abung, s\/o (Late) Neganglung of Thangmeiband, Imphal. One 9mm Pistol of Chinese origin with magazine was recovered from his possession. The apprehendee alongwith the recoveries was handed over to Imphal West Police Station.<\/p>\n\n
