DIMAPUR, Jan 13 NNN : The NSCN-IM has pledged today to root out the rapists and murderers in \u2018Nagalim\u2019 (Land of the Nagas). On Sunday, the NSCN-IM in a statement issued by its \u2018home secretary\u2019 DG Robert said the repeated incidents of rape and murder is a natter of serious concern for the outfit. \u201cBy Naga culture women are held in high esteem in the society.But what is happening now against women where rape and murder is becoming common occurrence is reflecting a damning
\ndegradation of our social values where morality has been disregarded in the most shameful manner not seen before,\u201d the NSCN-IM \u2018home secretary\u2019 said. The Naga outfit while condemning such violence against women in \u2018Nagalim\u2019 said the NSCN-IM will no longer sit idle as mere spectator but strive to root out the social evils-the rapists and murderers.
\n\u201cEvery effort will henceforth be made to eradicate these anti-human elements from our society.We expresses our appreciation to the Gorkhas in Nagalim for boldly taking the initiative to rise in protest against the rapists and murderers to demand justice.We support them and shall cooperate with them in order to bring the social perpetrators to be dealt as per the law of the land.
