Yesterday, there was a dream,
\nWhich I found true.
\nI tried to chase it,
\nHere and there, and,    
\nThe dream like a butterfly it was,
\nThat I tried to catch. <\/p>\n

Here and there it flew,        
\nBut couldn`t catch it nowhere.
\nA butterfly of many colours a hue.
\nHere and there it flew,
\nBut I couldn`t catch it as of yet.
\nYesterday, there was a dream.<\/p>\n

I woke early the next day,
\nAnd went down a straight path,
\nBut the path led to nowhere.
\nYes, the path led to nowhere.
\nAnd I longed for another dream,
\nAnother dream like that of yesterday.<\/p>\n

Today the sun rose,
\nSure as everyday.
\nAnd its light was so mellow,
\nAnd a lark sang somewhere in my mind.
\nYes, a lark sang somewhere in my mind.<\/p>\n

Then the day grew,
\nAnd the heat a time few,
\nAnd my lark flew away,
\nSearching for a cooler glade.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, I had a dream,
\nAnd, today, I long not for the sun,
\nBut the starry night.
\nFor which I wait.<\/p>\n

And my lark will come back,
\nSurely, sometime in the night.
\nThe larks,
\nThe stars,
\nTogether they will live,
\nSomewhere in my mind,
\nSure as the day,
\nBut true as the night.<\/p>\n
