Reports said kidnappings and arson preceded the clashes which have been going on in the last two days. The sources added that at a village called Pokhidong, suporters of the NPF and the Congress clashed early this morning resulted in the death of a person. It is still yet to confirm from the police to which party the deceased hailed from. The police are tigh lipped knowing probably the outcome once they pronounced the identity of the person or to which party he belonged. Scores of abduction cases have also reported in the district.<br \/>\nIn yet another case of poll violence, a man was killed when two groups of people clashed in Tuensang district. However, it is yet to be ascertained. Unconfirm reports said violence broke out today between the supporters of the NPF and the Congress which left the man got killed.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, reports said tensions have been running high in several places across Nagaland on the eve of the polling day today. At Longsa and Tuli in Mokokchung district, clashes have been occurring in the last two days between the supports of the NPF and the Congress.<br \/>\nThere have been volatile situons in Dimapur and its vicinity. The involvement of certain underground elements in the ensuing Nagaland polls have also been the cause of the volatile situation.<br \/>\nIntending candidate and sitting MLA P. Chuba Chang passed away this morning in the Nagaland capital Kohima.<br \/>\nChuba Chang was in fray from Congress ticket at Sadar-II assembly constituency of Tuensang.<br \/>\nOther candidates in the fray in that constituency are Elam Chang of the NPF and Independent candidate Poyang Changkong Chang.<br \/>\nSources from the Congress party said Chuba Chang was not keeping well in the last few days and was admitted in at Naga Hospital in Kohima.<br \/>\nFollowing the demise of the Congress candidate, seven days will be given so that a candidate will be named and fielded in the Sadar II constituency by the Congress and subsequently a poll will be conducted by the authority.<br \/>\nChuba Chang, a close aide of former Nagaland chief minister S.C Jamir hailed from Sophie village, Tuensang.
