A large quantity of arms and ammunition has also been recovered from him.<br \/>\nNaoroibam Joyshankar alias Loiyumba, 27, who hails from Khurai Lairikyengbam Makha Leikai in Imphal East district was apprehended by a team of Imphal West police commandos at Lilong Chajing near Lilong Higher Secondary School in Thoubal district around 5:43 pm yesterday, district Superintendent of Police (SP) K Jayanta said during a media briefing at his office here Friday.<br \/>\nThe police officer said the arrested belongs to 39th batch (2009) of the PREPAK-Pro and works for the outfit under the command of of Longjam Subash alias Paliba, 57, the outfit\u2019s self-styled chairman hailing from Thangmeiband Polem Leikai, Imphal West.<br \/>\nHe said Joyshankar was involved in detonating an IED near the western gate of Chief Minister O Ibobi\u2019s bungalow on August 10 and the bombing of Route 39 restaurant, Mantriphukhri in Imphal East district on August 17 last .<br \/>\nOne remote control device, two charge demolitions marked as LOTLOP81B008002 (explosive cakes), two IED cercuits, four battery cells, three electronic detonators, two packets of steel ball bearings, one Yamaha motor cycle FZ, three motor cycle signal lights along with five bulbs, one pair of scissors, one screw driver, one long wire and one switch were seized from his residence, Jayanta said.<br \/>\nJoykishan was assigned to carry two out more blasts and the bomb was packed in a soap.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"syndicated-attribution\">Read more \/ Original news source: <a href=\"http:\/\/manipur-mail.com\/man-who-bombed-cms-gate-nabbed\/\">http:\/\/manipur-mail.com\/man-who-bombed-cms-gate-nabbed\/<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IMPHAL, August 23 MNS NNN : Manipur police commandos have arrested a cadre of banned People\u2019s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak-Progressive (PREAPAK-Pro) who was allegeldy involved in the recent explosion at the western gate of the Chief Minister\u2019s bungalow here including the bombing of Route 39 restaurant, Mantripukhri.
