IMPHAL, December 11: The Manipur Peoples’ Party has today clarified that it had not joined the re-surveying of the Indo-Myanmar border fencing because the Congress has befooled the people with it’s decision to put the issue in its election manifesto.<\/p>\n
Speaking to media persons at the MPP office, spokesperson MPP H Nabashyam said that the MPP is not deviating from the issue and is still considerate about the issue.<\/p>\n
He continued that the party will continue to press for proportionate alignment of the border.<\/p>\n
Decrying the government’s stance on the issue, he said that the present government continues to befool the people on the border issue, even though it could have been easily conducted.<\/p>\n
He further condemned the government for its failure to arrest the killers of the MPP vice president, H Manisana and as such it would be wise to hand over the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Chanura MPP president, Chandrakala condemned the state government for remaining silent spectators against the killing of wildlife birds in the state.<\/p>\n\n
