IMPHAL, January 20: A man from Manipur was killed in a road mishap today around 2.40 pm at Karbi-Anglong near Khatkhati, Assam.<\/p>\n
The deceased has been identified as B Sanaton, 31 years, son of B Ibobi Sharma of Laipham Khunou.<\/p>\n
According to a source from the All Manipur Petroleum Tankers and Driver’s Union, the road mishap victim was a handyman of an oil tanker (filled with SK Oil) bearing number MN01-7077 coming from Numaligarh Oil refinery and bound for Imphal.<\/p>\n
A case has been registered at the Diphu Police station in connection with the accident and post mortem examination of the dead will be conducted at Diphu Hospital, the source said. <\/p>\n
The corpse will be received by the transporters Union.<\/p>\n\n
