{"id":85071,"date":"2014-06-29T08:11:29","date_gmt":"2014-06-29T12:11:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kanglaonline.com\/?p=66624"},"modified":"2014-06-29T08:11:29","modified_gmt":"2014-06-29T12:11:29","slug":"poverty-an-aid-for-the-rich","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.manipur.org\/news\/2014\/06\/29\/poverty-an-aid-for-the-rich\/","title":{"rendered":"Poverty: an aid for the rich"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By RK Lakhi Kant<\/p>\n<p>The poor are getting poorer in spirit, and this time<br \/>\nthey are being stripped of their ordinary way of life,<br \/>\nwhich leaves them neither here nor there;<br \/>\nWhy is there lack of care for the poor?<br \/>\nThey do deserve praise for the good amount of work<br \/>\non the fields and other physically demanding work.<\/p>\n<p>In any public work that the country takes up,<br \/>\nthe division of labour and the spoils are heavily<br \/>\nloaded in favour of the richer class, although<br \/>\nthe poor do all the hard work,<br \/>\nwhile the rich only do sedentary work;<br \/>\nTry lifting a few bricks some time, to know.<br \/>\nNow we pay for our houses to be built, but in remote<br \/>\nareas, the houses are built by the neighbours,<br \/>\nrelatives and friends of the house owner;<br \/>\nHouses for the common man in India<br \/>\nbeing built by paid labour used to be unheard of,<br \/>\nso much were community ties close and effective.<\/p>\n<p>With 20 percent effort the rich get 80 percent amenities,<br \/>\nand want to employ the poor in this work;
