The poor are getting poorer in spirit, and this time
\nthey are being stripped of their ordinary way of life,
\nwhich leaves them neither here nor there;
\nWhy is there lack of care for the poor?
\nThey do deserve praise for the good amount of work
\non the fields and other physically demanding work.<\/p>\n
In any public work that the country takes up,
\nthe division of labour and the spoils are heavily
\nloaded in favour of the richer class, although
\nthe poor do all the hard work,
\nwhile the rich only do sedentary work;
\nTry lifting a few bricks some time, to know.
\nNow we pay for our houses to be built, but in remote
\nareas, the houses are built by the neighbours,
\nrelatives and friends of the house owner;
\nHouses for the common man in India
\nbeing built by paid labour used to be unheard of,
\nso much were community ties close and effective.<\/p>\n
With 20 percent effort the rich get 80 percent amenities,
\nand want to employ the poor in this work; really smart!
\nThe poor work physically through the day to get less than
\n20 percent amenities for their contribution;
\nWith an 80 per cent poor in India,the establishment is
\neven despotic, the way things are going as of now.<\/p>\n
The roads for instance in the cities,
\nhave no pedestrian allocation, and it\u2019s quite obvious
\nthe poor are being exploited and not being given the
\nrecognition for their work in other areas as well;
\nHow to give them an even playground?
\nNot with loads of money, but principles to steady them.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s a big hu ha about money, but it\u2019s not a
\nvery great thing which cannot be taken care of;
\nTake note of the fact that Indian myths is not actually
\na myth but a living history, an instance of how we live
\nin a state where all the so-said myths are still alive;
\nThe Ganga for one is still the same.<\/p>\n
Flowing down the Indian landscape for ages,
\nit still has the same name,
\nand its stories mentioned in the history of religion,
\nare alive today, as are hundreds of other landmarks
\nwhich have come down history,
\nlike names, monuments, places, clothes;<\/p>\n
In India we can be sure that the same features
\nthat marked the pre-ancient times,
\nare still there, in some way or the other;
\nAnd the moral strength its purity gives
\nto the people is evident of the link,
\neven in ordinary day to day life.<\/p>\n
The roads are injustice to the poor who are in tatters,
\nand nowadays more susceptible to be cheated;
\nWhere\u2019s the water, power, education for them;
\nDenying them these things the people
\nhave the heart to live in buildings built by the poor
\nwithout acknowledging the existence of the poor.<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s equate not in terms of money,
\nbut of emotional content;
\nA state cannot be a state, unless
\nthe common citizenry is accepted;
\nMoney is hardly of importance if principles of life
\nare to be a driving force behind any public works.<\/p>\n\n
