IMPHAL, July 6: A 10-year-old was today found hanging at Porompat Khongkham Leirak around 11am.<\/p>\n

The boy was rushed to the JNIMS but was declared brought dead by the doctors.<\/p>\n

Family members have identified the boy as Wangkheirakpam Merajao, son of Ibomcha of Nongdren Mamang Leikai.<\/p>\n

Merajo was found hanging at his elder brother\u2019s wife\u2019s residence where he had been staying along with his younger brother since some months back, informed the family.<\/p>\n

Family members had seen Merajao playing with his younger brother in the ground floor of the building in the morning.<\/p>\n

After sometime, he had gone up saying that he was sleepy and will take a nap, said the family.<\/p>\n

He was later found hanging from a wood frame of the ceiling with a piece of cloth inside the room.<\/p>\n

Soon the present family members informed the others and he was rushed to the JNIMS, but succumbed on the way.<\/p>\n

The body has been deposited at JNIMS morgue for post mortem and the police have taken up a case.<\/p>\n
