Imphal, Dec 12 NNN : The student leaders of Inpui, Liangmai and Zeme tribes on behalf of the student community in particular and the people in general have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Government of India for taking initiative in introducing the bill relating to tribe recognition of Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei and Inpui tribes on December 7 in the winter session of Parliament.
In a joint statement, All Inpui Students Union president NK James, Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi (LNKR) president NK Job and All Zeme Students Union president Ellia Newme said on Monday that they are looking forward that the Union minister will continue to look into the matter and take up necessary action on passing the bill during the ongoing Parliament session in greater interest of the tribes .
