IMPHAL, May 3 (NNN) : With the result of the election for new office bearers of Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (MPYCC) being declared today, the big question now is who will be the next president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC).
The new president of MPYCC was declared to be Amir Hussian from Lilong with Y. Rohojo s/o Y. Irabot, MLA of Wangkhei A/C, as the vice president and L. Chitrasen as general secretary.
A total of 16 contestants contended for the post of the president of MPYCC, the election of which was held in the first part of April.
After nearly two months since Gaikhangam was given the post of home minister of Manipur, the post of the president of MPCC has been lying vacant, with the MLAs and Congress workers still in the dark as to who the next MPCC president will be, said a source from the Congress.
