LAMKA, Sept 8: The sixty-hour bandh called by the JAC, Churachandpur that started at noon today, passed off with no serious problem till the filing of this report.

However, women folk took out processions, apart from staging sit in protests.

The JAC had been all along demanding resignation of the tribal MLAs which still was not responded in word and in deed by the MLAs with other demands particularly separate administration for the hills or tribals of Manipur.

The JAC has also decided not to take back the bodies of the nine dead till a positive response is provided.

The bodies are lying unclaimed at the District morgue with a sign `For your tomorrow we give our today.`
