Financial support for acid attack victim

Joint Action Committee against acid attack on Mangshatabam (O) Menaka has appreciated the financial support tendered by New Checkon Women Development Committee Meira of Soibam Leikai, Wangkhei Khunou. The organization donated a sum of Rs. Forty thousand for Meneka hospitalization.

In a press release, convenor of the JAC, Naorem Mahendra said the accused Md. Sahadat and his family still has not come forward to help the victim in any manner. It stated that Sahadat and his should take the responsibility if any bad consequences befall the victim.
