It was a good sign. Contrary to the national trend of law making where the members were seen watching indecent videos, somebody dozing off, yawning, gossiping and all inside the house, the Manipur assembly had a lively and highly interactive session where the opposition and ruling both contributed. The leader of the house and other members were all taking the business very seriously. In the houses of many other states and in the centre, the opposition had a simple agenda of stalling the proceeding, nothing more, no constructive approach.
