Thoubal: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Thoubal, Lions Club, Thoubal Greater Centurion and NSS unit of Waikhom Mani Girls College, Thoubal joined hands to celebrate the 73rd birthday of Rajiv Gandhi (Sadbhavana Diwas) at Thoubal Wangkhem community hall today.
District Youth Convenor of NYK, Thoubal Y Laksman, Lions Club, Thoubal Greater centurion president Dr Memcha Khudongbam, NSS unit programme officer of Waikhom Mani Girls College L Sanatombi and NYK, Thoubal DACYP member K Lokendro attended the celebration as dignitaries.
At the end of the event, a saplings plantation programme as well as a Youth Parliament were conducted where all the participants took pledge to work together for peace regardless of cast, creed and gender.
