KAKCHING, Aug 6:Breastfeeding Promotion Alliance of Manipur and Jeevan hospital Management conducted the Word Breastfeeding week at the auditorium of Jeevan hospital, Kakching Lamdong today.
Professor Nabakishwor and Professor Jiten attended the programme as chief guest and president respectively.
Workers and helpers under ICDS, Kakching, members of Women’s Development, Kakching Makha Leikai also took part in the programme.
During the technical session of the programme, Dr A Ibombi stressed on the importance and benefits of breastfeeding an infant.
He stated that infants from O to 6 years should be nourished by breastfeeding and added that it is the most essential thing that a mother offers for her infant.
